1. The short version
This site stores one thing in your browser: your answer to the cookie banner. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and nothing from a third party. Fonts, images and scripts are all served from our own domain, so no other company sees that you visited.
The rest of this page explains that in full, because a policy that says “we may use cookies” and leaves it there is not much of a policy.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to keep, and sends back on later visits. Related technologies, local storage and session storage, do a similar job without sending anything back automatically. This policy covers all of them, whatever the technical name.

That is the complete list. If you reject the banner, nothing else is ever set.
4. Categories, and what we would put in them
- Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to work or to honour a choice you made. Cannot be switched off, because switching them off would break the thing you asked for. This is the only category currently in use.
- Analytics. Would tell us which pages get read and where people give up. Not in use today. If we add it, this page will be updated first, the banner will control it, and it will be off until you say otherwise.
- Advertising. Not in use, and we have no plans to use it.
5. Third parties
None. Typefaces are self-hosted rather than loaded from a font network, images are served from our own domain, and there are no embedded videos, maps, chat widgets or social buttons that would load code from elsewhere. This is a deliberate choice: fewer parties involved is both faster and easier to be honest about.
6. How to change your mind
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and change your answer.
You can also clear site data through your browser settings, which removes the stored preference. The banner will then ask again on your next visit. Browser help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge explain how.
7. Changes
If we add anything that stores data in your browser, we will update the table above before it goes live, and change the date at the top of this page.
